# Rohrpost

---

Luftdruckbetriebene (pneumatische) Förderanlage, ursprünglich für Kleinteile und Dokumente. Das Transportgut wird dabei in zylindrischen Behältern von der Ausgangs- zur Empfangsstation geleitet. Die Rohrpost wird durch den Einsatz digitaler Systeme für den Informationsfluss zunehmend obsolet, ist aber für den Transport von Kleingut, beispielsweise in Fabrikanlagen oder Krankenhäusern, immer noch im Gebrauch, da moderne Anlagen zeitkritische Güter wie Blut- und Gewebeproben zumindest über kurze Distanzen (innerhalb eines Gebäudes) schnell und sicher an den Bestimmungsort bringen.
