Dominica Postal Service asks us to inform the designated operators of other Union member countries that it is currently not in a position to receive mail. Dominica Postal Service estimates that it may be operational in about one month, owing to various challenges including:
– lack of electricity;
– damage to post office and Customs' computers and equipment;
– damaged vehicles used in the transportation of mail to and from the airport/post office;
– damaged surveillance cameras.
Dominica Postal Service kindly asks members to continue the suspension of all mail to Dominica until further notice.
Dominica Postal Service thanks all designated operators for their understanding and will update them once the situation has returned to normal.
