The designated operator of Lithuania, Lithuania Post, asks us to inform other Union member countries and their designated operators that, in accordance with the measures taken to minimize the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and the requirements of the government of Lithuania, all letter-post, parcel-post and EMS items requiring signature on delivery will, for security reasons, provisionally be delivered to customers indirectly. Consequently, it will not be mandatory for Lithuania Post to collect and provide written proof of delivery. Lithuania Post kindly requests the assistance of other Union member countries and their designated operators in explaining to senders the aforementioned delivery options, which, in some cases, may not allow for the provision of written proof of delivery under these special circumstances.
Lithuania Post thanks all Union member countries and their designated operators for their understanding. It will update them via EmIS once situation has returned to normal.
